After a few years of paddling and loving my prowler my shoulder has been hurting and have trouble keeping up with the kids. I just bought a used hobie revo and hope to be able to stay on the water. It has some extras including a sail (which I  know nothing about) and am wondering if the revo is good for sailing. Any input would be helpful (where to practice)

Buy the sailing rudder and turbo fins best upgrades money can buy! Rudder around $30 turbo fins around $100. If you want it to be more stable for sailing you can get the outriggers as well. I have never sailed a Revo but have seen it done many times. Congrats on the new yak!

Paul,   You just gotta get out and do it.   get a feel for how it feels.     Might think about a sailing class.   Pacific Yachting at the Santa Cruz harbor  has a fun weekend classes.
