A lot can change in a forecast.  Keep checking it!  I know, it's torture!!! But i'm still willing to bet that Friday or Saturday will be a good day to fish.

Conditions last Sunday weren't favorable but I went out and hooked the biggest ling of my life. By the time I came in the wx was awesome. Point being sometimes a 3:30am wake up call isn't the best route. Haha

I'm going to bow out and play in steven's creek reservoir instead.  I'll pop back in next time!  Good luck out there if the weather clears up :]

I'm not sure which website to look at, the zone forecast doesn't look good.

http://forecast.weather.gov/MapClick.php?zoneid=PZZ565

But when I look at this one:

http://forecast.weather.gov/MapClick.php?lat=36.563151553545985&lon=-121.94189071655273

The conditions are not bad and Saturday looks doable. Please let me know which one I should go by.

Is there an "event" planned at Timber Cove next weekend for the opener or a casual "hook-up" of interested parties?  Either way, I'll be there.  It will be my newbie debut - first time in salt water fishing from a kayak.  Woo hoo!

i'll be heading up to sac that weekend or else i would be down for going. :smt013

the wind looks like crap this whole week, if it's your first time going out there i would suggest you go on a different weekend when it's less windy.

or wait till the next week to head over to Timber Cove opener :smt003

I don't think there is an event for TC, but keep an eye for an hook up thread :smt003

i've never been to TC myself but everyone talks highly of it so i want to give that place a try :smt003
