Just wanted to see if anybody wants to hook up an float the American River and try to do some shad fishing today tomorrow or Sunday I'm thinking today around 2 or 4 PM possibly sooner send me a private message or reply in this post and we can go from there

The activist is not the man who says the river is dirty. The activist is the man who cleans up the river.

ohhhgeee I sent you a message.

Fishing is good right now between Watt  & Howe both locations are kayak friendly and have a parking lot. Parking is $5 and to launch a kayak/small water craft is a extra $3. The Rangers usually have the park access open at sunrise or slightly after and they close 1 hour after sunset. Tomorrow Sunrise: 5:51am and Sunset: 8:14pm.

Howe AVE access would be a good place to meet and put our kayaks in at.
I'm game for meeting at 6am and fish for a few hours probably till 12 or 2 pm.

Thanks sonoramike. I have two weeks of R&R, so plenty of time to hook up somewhere else.

It was a very beautiful day today. Slightly windy but warm at the same time. Thanks Eric for paddling it out with me even in those rapids ;)
