Late Fort Ross Report. 7-8-06

Wouldn't it be cool if NCKA can "rent" Fort Ross for a weekend and get a derby going

I haven't camped there, but Fort Ross does have a campground to the south near Pidotti Reef called "reef campground".  I have no idea about access to the water from there and I believe that it's first come first serve for the camping spots.  I suppose if a bunch of us show up early on a Friday and stake claim to some spots there's no reason we can't have an informal derby there.

I'd definitely be in.

I there's enough interest i can make some phone calls and see how that would work.

I've only fished Fort Ross once (with Erik K) and I had a blast - AND the ab divers can have their fun as well. Maybe we can do a combo derby: Biggest Fish and Biggest Abalone 

Great report!  Sounds like an awesome spot to fish and get together.  I would love to come down and check it out.

 

When my boy was in Scouts we got to stay in the fort most of the kids stayed in the towers we stayed  in one of the bigger dwellings. It was great we had the whole place to ourselves.
