Thanks for the compliments Jim, I do intend to give you a run for your money on DOTY this year. Also it seems you forgot to mention all the sea lions in your dive report. That spot was flush with lions and that one that came over and breached between Jim, Sean and myself gave me kind of a startle with how close he was getting. Later I got swarmed by three of them at once. It was a bit spooky.

Nice. You're gonna like the bump on the head of the sheephead.  It's gooey gelatinous goodness and not fishy tasting.  But it's rich and I can only eat so much.  Your reports and enthusiasm have me wanting to dive.

Phenomenal! Way to go, guys!

In regard to that second pick, that's always fun to do... at least until it's time to remove the fish from the ling's gullet.  :smt005

Wow, that thing barely fit on the HT!

I am still amazed at how crazy these fish look - their colors, AND their teeth, LOL. It looks like they could attack you and do some damage (you have to understand, I am used to old fashioned trout and bass, haha).

Great work, Jim! And I love how clear your video shots are - it's really awesome.

I had a friend fishing in La Jolla and he caught a big goat which he put on a hoop stringer as he was clearing his gear.  Next thing you know he screams so loud that the tourists on the beach probably heard.  What happened was he had his legs danglin on either side of his kayak when the floating and (supposedly) dead sheephead drifted into his calf and it reflexively chomped down with those big canines.  He had some gnarly holes in his legs.
