Enjoyed a weekend up at Lett's lake in Mendocino National forest. The lake is still over run with tiny Bass. I would say 5-7" is standard. You could toss just about any popper or floating crank bait and they would bite. If they had a little more fight in them it could be fun but even with my ultra light setup it got boring quick.

Sunday morning I got up early and hit a deeper section of the lake started tossing a small broken back rapla and picked up a couple nice rainbows. Nothing too exciting but the larger of the two is the biggest rainbow I saw come
out of the lake that weekend.

Lots of guys using power bait and having success but they were getting a lot of small fish. It seems the guys tossing the raplas were brining in the slightly larger fish.

I was on shore but a few guys had kayaks and small boats. It's a tiny lake but I bet a few decent holdovers hanging in the deep. Not the best fishing but a great spot to take the family for a camping trip.

Not sure if the photos are going to show up. Having trouble with the downloads.
