Pic 8 the new cleat setup will also work well for my quick release anchor for sturgeon fishing.

Barber haulers really help in light air. I am not sure the bungee is needed. Will have to take a look in person.

The resin I put the bungees on was to help keep tension on the line when not in uses. I have not had the opportunity to try it out yet hopefully soon.

Looks pretty cool!  Harnessing the light early morning breeze would... be a breeze with that thing! :smt044

How do you detach it while on the water.  Doesn't look like you can trolley it back to the center to unhook or how do you switch it to the other side?  Maybe just missing it in the angle of the photos.  Plus, I am just in the learning stage so my knowledge is low.

Pat

I went with a simpler less expensive approach, swivel harken block, carabiner and jam cleat with brass clip. I am sure they perform the same but the only way to find out is on the race course.   :smt006 I will say that at the salmon opener, I kicked Etienne's butt sailing down wind in light air and he is a veteran sailor and has the shark fin rudder.  :smt003

Scott the only reason I went with the cleats is for a quick release anchor system for sturgeon fishing then I setup the barber hauler. Your system is just as good if not better you definitely don't have to spend a lot to get the job done.

I like what I'm seeing. Good ides all around. Really like those rod holder mounts on the aka. Look very solid.
