Hi Guys.  I been wanting to install a fish finder and I wanted to use a scupper mount.  I didn't want to pay for it and I didn't want to block the scupper hole.  Here's what I came up with for about 3 bucks.

Not bad I would recommend tossing that bolt and buying a post bolt (sex bolt)

I thought the screw head on the Chicago bolt (sex bolt) would likely strip if I were to try and remove it after it had seen some saltwater usage.  Besides I'm going to be switching it back and forth between two kayaks with different hull thicknesses.  I would rather use wrenches than screwdrivers.  I almost went with nylon fasteners but I needed to tighten it down enough to prevent the transducer head from pivoting.

If it were a more permanent fixture I think the Chicago bolt would be a great idea.
