Would those stinger hooks work as well w/ circle hooks? It would greatly cut down on getting snagged and losing such pretty and expensive lures.

BTW - Mahi, Mahi you're smokin HOT  :smt007  :smt008   :downtown:

You are correct Kevin, they are the Gamakatsu variety.  You can make your own if you are a good with knots, using heavy spectra and some heatshrink, I'm just playing around at this point with different varieties to see what I like best.  The Gamakatsu hooks seem to work just fine.  I also don't see why the circle variety would not work well, you just have to program yourself to not swing on the bites and just wind, but again, with the hooks up and off the bottom you get snagged much less frequently....  :smut001

Not sure if the number of hookups is equal to a regular treble, but i have not seen a drop off in number of fish I have caught in the last year or so.  It also tends to hook them in the jaw area and dangle outside the fishes mouth, making the not so tough finish on those type of jigs last quite a bit longer.

Hi Norm:

Nice pics and you might want to try a 4" Perch " Buzz-Bomb" I lived in ALbion for 8 years and found
that everything hits them. The south Island next to VanDam estate on the Lee south crack has limits of 8" Abs
in <5' of water  . Plates are in about 30' on the windward side.
