Had an awesome time as usual, camping and fishing with good friends and having a great relaxing weekend just cannot be beat!  Having Bacon come out on the water with me was a ton of fun as well  :smt003  On Saturday I only caught two fish, but one was my first keeper salmon of the year and another a fiesty SMB that got Bacon really worked up!   :smt005

On Sunday I did a bit better, hooking a few spots (one got trolled over a mile on the DR   :smt005 ) but couldn't find the trout or kokes that I was looking for.  I did manage a really nice salmon at 19.25" which when I hooked up I thought for sure that I had just snagged the line of another guy in a Hobie that just passed by me!  He stopped at the same time so I figured it was snagged and started to pull in my other line.  After unwrapping it from my rudder and reeling it in I grabbed the other rod and see that he looks like his line is free, when all of a sudden I feel something tugging on the end!  Wow, what a suprise that we both hooked up when we passed eachother on the same spot! And I was toplining a watermelon dodger with a pink spinner hoochie that I tied up.  :smt003  Bacon got a gooood taste of that one but I think she preferrs to Lick Bass!  :smt044

Thanks Jim, Adam, Ricci and all that came to make it a wonderful weekend and another successful NCKA event!   :smt006

Hey Al.
That was me!  Isn't that crazy?  We pass each other port to port and we thought we snagged, but we hooked into salmon at the same time.  You got yours into your boat (nice boat btw).  I lost mine as I tried to net it.  It was a fun fight though.
This was my first NCKA event and I had a lot of unique things happen to me.
Hope we get to fish together and have a drink. My luck improves (kind of) when you're around.

An early report as I just got home.  There were 35 kayakers on the water today for the tournament :-) 15 people checked in fish with either photos or fish :-) I know everyone is waiting on who won the trash prize, and although victors bag of trash was bigger by volume, Bunnies bag of trash was slightly heavier do too a coconut, perhaps incidentally dropped in the lake buy a swallow ;)

I will post up the official results tomorrow.
Gtg for now

 Jim

BSS-3 Rocked! Thank you so much Jim, Ricci. ATD and Roughster. The  P. C. RV camp sites have it all and are close to the launch ramp. We will be back. The Aero Cruiser's engine that didn't make it to Albion last year, has been replaced and brakes also work properly now. The fishing was great, catching for me was just ok. The two salmon and one rainbow I landed looked very healthy. Are they native here in Berry? The food was great from start to finish. Friday Martin started us off with a seared goat cheese salad paired with a quality white wine. Frank & Bunny then served up pulled pork sandwitches. Then Sat and Sunday buffets were over the top even BBQ oysters no less. Typing this now I crave a midnight snack. Won't be forgeting the awesome products put up the event sponsors. You Rock!
