Looks like a fantastic trip.  My wife, brother in law and sister in law are heading to Panama mid May for 3 weeks. We are staying on lake Gatun for a few days, so I hope we can try for peacocks.  We will be primarily on the Caribbean side staying in the San Blas islands and then Bocas.  I know the Pacific is the place to go for fishing, but I am hoping the east side has some hidden gems!  I will let you guys know when I return.

Get ahold of Hennie or Tim at Paddle Panama (http://www.paddlepanama.com/).  They can give you some insights into Gatun and the Caribean Coast (tarpon!).
