Approx 12 A.I. sailors showed up at the Alameda Crown Memorial Beach to take a stab at netting a halibut, chowing down on a mid-day lunch, and re-launching for an afternoon of breezy sailing. A bit cool, due to the breeze, but still a nice day to be on or near the water.

Didn't hurt that there was no parking or launch fee today

The walk to the beach was fairly short but wheels were definitely a must...that sand was very soft

What a blast today.  Steady 15 to 20 knots in the PM.  Thanks Chuck for putting together.  Nice meeting you all.

Nice pictures guys!  Sorry I missed all the fun and getting in the picture with the AI crew.  Still not feeling good well enough to go out there today.  Hope to see more of this AI crew get together in the future.

Wow that was fun. No halibut love but the morning sail was great. Hit my personal best speed (8.8 MPH) on a beam reach with 8-10 kt wind on the morning sail. Yeah they can hit 18 MPH but I don't like push it too hard. As I get more experience with the design I'll do a speed trial. Had to head home after lunch. Too tired from the salmon opener. Thanks for organizing Chuck!!! If you guys want to do some racing, let me know.

Had a great time hanging out with the AI fleet.  No sailing for me until the mast problem is resolved but I trolled for Halibut and enjoyed the day otw.  Thank you ChuckE for organized this event.  Here are some pictures of the day.
