Last minute trip to HMB with John/ben's yak on his Sea Ranger.

We started at 21/36 with the rest of the fleet just after sunrise. After a slow start and a farmed hog, we heard of good reports to the south. Heading towards 14/32, John noticed some good marks on the sounder and we started trolling a couple of miles short of our destination. It was steady, constant action after that. Too bad that we were rusty from the winter break and farmed the next 3 fish.  :smt044  We made up for it by bringing in the next four with the largest being ~30".  :smt003

Pink is on the menu!

What was the setup, depth and speed?

Mixture of WMA, FBR and blue krippled anchovy. Depth ranged from 30-60' otw at 40 fathoms.

Krill fish?

Yup, native and they came in hot too!

As long as you were in the area, they hit practically everything today! I farmed one only to have another one hit before setting the rod down on the reset... then proceeded to farm that one too! Opening weekend jitters. :happy3:

Props go to John who kept us on top of the krill all day.

2nd time will be much better.  :smt006 The GoPro was attached to the net without any flotation so I was a little paranoid.
