Roboworm was my go to until I found the Skinny Bear Shad eye dropshots.  They look and work great!

Only because I've used these the most........I think any worm that looks like a REAL worm will get the job done best.

.....the most important thing is: what type of hook and making sure your DropShotKnot is correctly tied.  :smt002

I have one pole with 10lb braid connected to 10lb flouro. The other is just 10lb mono, I dont know if i can actually tell the difference in sensitivity between the two to be honest. I like to use the Roboworm 1/0 Re-Barb hook. Or if I'm going Wacky, I use a size 2 Gamakatsu Drop Shot Hook.

I don't really understand anything that he did in that video but I do appreciate you posting it, Adam.  I'm gonna watch it over and over til it makes sense.  I've never fished a dropshot rig, and it seems like it would be pretty handy.

That video is not very good.  Try this link:

Eric, if you can tie a palomar, just tie it with an extra long tag end.  And then after you've cinched it down, take the tag end and run it back through the hook of the eye in the direction that would be away from the rod and line that's attached to the hook already.

Hopefully I didn't do more harm than good.  My intentions were pure.  :smt002

Or try this link.  Although instead of clipping off the extra, just run it back through the eye away from the line.

sorry.....it looked like it said it all, but after further review, it was not clear enough. Sony's link was alot better.

and Dilbeck is very correct......take the long tag end(that will be tied to the wgt) and put it DOWN thru the eye of the hook. It will make the hook stick out horizontally.

That's what I do. The weakest point on that setup is between the knot and the weight, which is a good thing in my book.  :smt006

Here's a little vid I made a couple years ago on the Palomar and drop-shot setup. Drop-shot is around 6mins.

I also use split shot as my weight.  That way if and when I snag, I can just pull it free.  All drop shot weights just cut my line when pulling through the "crimp."
