Rancho Seco 7/4/06

On the water around 7:15am. off the water 10:30am.
Water in this lake is nice and clean. Got lots of hits on an assortment of Senko colors and sizes. Best bite was a 4" pumpkin Senko and a 6" white/gray Tiki Stik. Caught 5 or 6 fish.

Here's the pics:

Great shots of bass and water. It was windy down here that day,it looks oilly-glassy in the pics?Is there sheltered areas or is it always windy like the book on the lake says?looks good to me!how are the campsites up there? Is the veggetation taking over yet?I want to check this spot but all these dam factors/rumers come into play....please set me straight. :smt006

The winds were calm early in the am, then they started to pick up. I've been out there in the afternoon and winds can really blow. The last picture shows how flat and open this area is, not much to slow the winds.

I like this lake, clean water, no power boats and it isn't crowded on the water. There can be lots of bankers at times.
There are tent campsites and trailer pads., picnic areas and a swim beach. Swimming is only allowed at the beach.
Vegetation is getting thicker at the east end of the lake, not a problem at the west end near the dam.

Reserve a campsite, do some night fishing, then hit the water again in the morning.

Let me know when you plan to go. I'll try to meet you there.
I'd like to try night fishing there also.
