Does anyone remember the name of the NWKA guys who showed up with the frying saucer and cooked the tortillas for the taco shack last year? They did a great job and i was hoping they could do it again this year.

One of the guys is Dino, islandson671 here on NCKA, talked to him earlier this week. Sounds like some of the NWKA guys are getting there Tuesday.

I would like to do the taco-shack again this year. I am going to try and simplify it a little and also try to increase the production speed. Although the taco-shack is somewhat of a work in progress, I think it is a worthy endeavor considering how much fresh fish we produce at these events. Anyone who wants to help out, feel free to chime in.

Jack

I will be grilling some fish for the taco shack zarandeado style. Will bring some salsa and 100 tortillas and some jalapenos. Will be there be a grill I can use at the tides? I will be fishing Thursday and Friday and will harvest some fish for for the shack. Hopefully some pink meat too. I will help you prep also.

It was brother Insayn that brought the UFO (Unidentified Frying Object), sorry to say that he won't be joining us this year.

Even if the weather sucks, GMS won't disappoint. The pot luck alone will be off da hook!!!

Right-on Scott !     There always seems to be at least one weber at the tides.  Thanks for the intel on the UFO Dino. I will bring something for cooking tortillas in.

I have a 2lb pack of Big Reds (Montana hotdogs) for the kids to roast over the fires. I will just bring a lot of stuff and pitch in where I can, knowing my son will eat everyone out of camp and cooler. I will just stock up.
Live your life, the way you want to be remembered. Don't have any regrets, we only get this one dance to make it count. Start at your eulogy, and work backwards.

I bring mine every year and will have it this year along with a couple bags of briquets.  It's "seasoned" and actually near death, so we can make little s'more/hotdog fires in it too.   :smt001
