Night at the Port of Sac 3/30

Gonna be doing a night light trip out to the port this Saturday. Launch around 6-7pm. Break out your night light and join us. If you don't have one come out anyways.

Hey Raydon,

Gonna get out there drop the 4' water tight light down and hook it up to the battery. Give it about 15 or so minutes and it should draw in the bait fish. Hopefully soon after the stripers will start showing up for dinner. I will have minnows with me but may try netting some bait fish while I'm waiting for the stripers.

Then I am planning on dropping my minnow down below the light to try and hook up. I may also throw some glow tubes and see if I can hook up that way as well.

That's my plan of attack. Come out and join us.

That's it?  I think I can follow that plan.  I have a dive light and a minnow bucket.  Sounds fun.   Keep me posted.

also, what type of rig do you guys use for live bait? i've been using the fish finder rig and i haven't caught anything with it. Only been catching fish trolling crank baits out there.

For the minnows I use a 3-way with a 1-2oz ball weight on a 16" drop, 30" of leader and a khale or circle hook.
