ALAMEDA ISLAND FISH-N-SAIL

The event is a good opportunity for NCKA's (31+) Hobie Adventure Island and Tandem Island owners to meet and sail with other local Island owners.  Fishermen can launch and fish early and later meet on the beach with the other Bay Area Hobie Island owners for a potluck lunch, Hobie schwagg give-away, prize raffle (courtesy of California Canoe & Kayak), and a Island sailing clinic.  After taking a few group photos on the beach, the whole group will launch and sail together just as the wind usually begins to pick up.  New and experienced sailors welcome!

7AM:     Let's go fishing!  Halibut are starting to show up in the area.

11 AM:  Meet on the beach for a potluck lunch, give-aways, waivers, and a basic Hobie Island sailing clinic.

12 NOON:  Take photos on beach and.... Let's go sailing!

*  The event is free.  There is a $5 parking fee and $1 sailing craft launching fee if park kiosk is attended (but it rarely is).
*  Bring your required PFD and VHF Radio if you have one. We'll be on channel 69.
*  Please bring your beach chair and your favorite potluck goodies to share.

No problem.  Go fishing or diving Saturday and join us Sunday.  The opener is usually crazy and overrated anyways.

3/28 update.....if the salmon are biting and the weather is doable I might be absent. The power boat is ready and the "partners" are expecting me...

I'm in will be there in the morning for some fishing to start the day of fun .
