spring didnt come in like a dinosaur(black point 3-20-13)

rockroach and i hit up black point this morning for a dino hunt in the wind and rain, got to leonards at 645ish to find no eel(fishery has an emergency closure), no ghost(well live that were frozen alive, same thing says the woman) and huge grass shrimp, so load up on 1/2# grass and one bag of this frozen stuff, hit the water and paddled up to second lines and set anchor, have a great pump and set the hook to some good weight and have a fish on in the first 20 minutes of the day, oh then it came unbuttoned after 5 seconds, another 8 hours in the saddle for naught, that is all, some pics, last pic is the hail mary, throw all the bait on and see what happens , cameron

Bullheads for stripers....

I hadn't been on a kayak in a few weeks so this was some well over do therapy.  Ya it was cold, it was rainy, and the wind picked up, and the fish didn't show but I had a blast.
 

UUUGH!  I hate sturgeon sitting&waiting!  you guys made it look like it could be fun, maybe?
