That was a cool vid - thanks for putting it up here.  Those guys have some extremely clear water!

My advice for catching halibut at Shelter Cove:  Run a large swimbait or bait like herring near the bottom in 50 to 119 feet of water.  Make it a legal salmon mooching rig and you'll be glad you did.  Most likely hits on that rig:  lingcod, rockfish, greenling, cabezon, salmon, halibut, in that order, IMO.  So the bottom line is to have gear deployed that's salmon-legal and can also bag all other species.  There have been a few nice salmon caught unintentionally at the event - don't be the next victim!   :smt003  There have been several salmon caught intentionally!   And targeting a halibut is not out of the question either...  :smt001
