I have a pair of Warmers booties that I really like.

Surf shops will have a good selection of booties.

I use 5 mm diving booties with a hard sole when I fish the ocean. Warm, comfortable and a lot easier to walk on the rocks when launching and landing.
You can find them on eBay pretty cheap.

Depending on the water temp/air temp situation, either barefoot with water sandals, neoprene socks inside of some draining shoes, or these bad boys:

The workshoes are utterly bomber, keep your feet very nice and warm, and give fantastic ankle support. Maybe overkill for a lot of folks, but just about unbeatable for people that are scrambling around on rocks and exposing their feet to cold water at the same time. In my not so humble opinion, one of the very best footwear deals out there.

Regards,
Scott

Those workboots look great.

Has anyone ever seen these Mukluks in person?  They are rather appealing to me for cold days.

Pat,

I've seen the Chota neoprene mukluks in person, but not the breathable ones. I was impressed by the rubber version, and if I had the $$$ at the time, I might have bought a pair. Chota makes good stuff either way. But I'd probably go with the neoprene version for their lower price and warmth. And it's not like your wetsuit is going to breath, so why the WP/Breathable upper ?

Just my $.02

thanks,  sounds like 5 mm  neoprene  will do it.

I picked up a yak last weekend.  I had to test it out,  can get pretty chilly without the right clothes.
