We know it's crashing.  Debug is ongoing.  I've disable the RSS feeds for the time being, as they put a lot of load on the server, getting called every time someone accesses a page here.  Will update you all as we have updates.

Yes, it's still crashing.  And we're still working on it.

We also know some are getting errors when uploading images when making an entry.  We believe the crash and the images issues are related with "out of memory" issues.  Note that this is a transient issue, meaning if you try again later, it often times works.

One workaround (but not a permanent fix) is to resize your images smaller before entering.  Hopefully we'll get a real fix soon.

Image resizer, a Microsoft powertoy, is a great tool that I use to resize my images, a simple right click and you are done.

Allen,

I just saw this thread, so is it okay to try and load aoty fish? I was actually holding out until you were done fixing or I saw the leader board show up again on the left of the page. Let me know, I'm getting close to the "two week" posting rule thing coming up this Saturday.

Thanks,

Scott

Yes, please try to enter.  Most of the time it will go through.  If not, try again at another time, or resize your images down.

We're still working on this.  Thanks for your patience.

Are you guys still having problems with uploads?  As it is extremely difficult for us to consistently reproduce on our end, I have to rely on your feedback as to whether the problem is getting solved.  Thanks.

I also didn't post any fish for awhile, as I didn't see a post noting the fix.
I recently posted 3 fish, but only one - the most recent - has been recognized.
Did I miss the ddl?
Having the "recent catches" and "top 10" sidebars was how I was keeping track of the viability of the aoty component.

Hah.  I did that earlier this morning.  I usually try to get the weekly approvals done on  Mondays, but I was busy Monday and yesterday, so it was done this morning.

Oh, we've been trying tweaks behind the scenes, and not posting up every time we try one.
