Mooch only has to worry about pig's heads in the hatch.  :smt005

I would rather have a single pig's head than a complete hull filled with rocks......not that has ever happened to anyone I know......  :smt003

I find this thread intriguing especially after I have been drinking. I'd like to add that I have caught plenty of fish with my banana, I even caught the fish of a lifetime and put a ring on it a few years back. LOL!!! Just had to add that to this banana thread.

I may have superstitions, but banana aren't among them :smt002.
Mostly I usually don't bring bananas out on the kayak with me because I don't like the bit of salt that always seems to go with whatever snack I have packed. I've gone to Mojo bars since they are already salty :smt044
IloveSALTED'nanners!

That's funny Adam. I never believed in the banana thing until you were attacked by a GWS and one of the rescuers said there were bananas floating in the water. Never ate a banana OTW again. :smt005 :smt005

OB2 and I were fishing Tahoe one time.
He pulled a fast one and stuck a banana peel in my hull before we launched.
I found it immediately and said nothing. As we were paddling (pedaling) out I tossed it in his tankwell w/o his knowledge.
He caught fish, I didn't.
Banana Schmanana.

I was on a rockcod charter out of hmb when I first learned about this banana thing.  After I asked what they were talking about one guy turned around and yelled out to the boat "This guy brought a banana!".  I have never been stared down by so many angry people in my life...
Good thing I didn't actually have a banana, but I got the message @_@

You guys are making me curious to try bringing a banana some time though d=

I used to have frequent leg cramps and Banana is a great Potassium source when not too ripe.  I almost always bring bananas when kayak fishing and rarely skunk  :smt003

I'm on the side that banana on board has nothing to do with catching, or not catching fish. However, I have had people on party boats get seriously pissed off. I just smile and eat my banana. At end of trip just collect the pot money! :smt044

Adam made me a firm believer in bananas are back luck. On my "last" trip to bean hollow It was slow. I look over the side if my kayak and see a bunch of half eaten fruit floating in the water. I also saw a banana peel freshly eaten floating too.

I was wondering who was eating all this fruit and tossing it over. Well...10 minutes later I hear a big BOOM south of me and adam radioing that he got hit by a GWS. Hmm... needless to say I'm not eating bananas on fishing trips. I'm not worried about not catching fish. I'm worried about catching a BIG ONE! :smt005

Anything you will bad vibes into, will return them.  Anything you will good vibes into, will return them.  It doesn't matter what you consider bad luck, as long as you hold that belief, it will be true.  As long as you don't, it wont be true.   :smt002

thatz my boyee! I ate them before I got hit, and I continued to eat them every day afterwards. They are good for your digestive system and the potassium in them keep the muscles from cramping up. Learned that from the surfers!
