OTW Bass Clinic at Rancho Seco 3-17-13

Fished it yesterday for a few hours mid day, Fish were shallow anywhere from shore to 10ft saw some groups with big fish cruising the shoreline, I talked to a guy who was drop shotting deep without any luck, but most of the guys fishing shallow reported at 1-3 fish, i was able to hook 2 a 13 incher and a nice 18.5 incher, both hooked around 6ft deep close to shore on 5" green an white senkos whacky rigged fished fairly slow. Tried some more active methods cranks, jerks, spinnerbaits with no luck.

I'm ready!!

I have a couple casting reels and don't know how to use them.  Not even sure I have the right rods for them for that matter.  I also have a fairly extensive selection of bass lures and baits I would like to learn how to properly use and present.  Also need to learn how to tie on a lure or hook the right way. 

Can't wait to get on some fish.     I'm also bringing links from lockeford meats to  grill up. See ya in the morning.
