Wow Fishhunter, what incredible shots!

I sure wish I was there with you, instead of working like a dog.

Is it as busy at Lake Chabot and Lafayette in the winter as it is in the summertime?

I almost got killed on my way to Lafayette last summer. Just before the entrance the roads are really crazy, and not marked well. I accidently turned up the wrong side, and was heading into on coming traffic.  I threw my car into reverse, and the one car coming at me went into another lane.  It shook me up...pretty close call.

Keep taking more photos.  I enjoy them! :smt001

Just to mess with some of you guys that are chomping at the bit. I am sure a lot of you know where this is but I'm not telling.

FYI- I've never fished there, stopped here once to check it out. Now it is my desktop background and I plan to fish and maybe do a little diving there soon as possible.

Photo taken mid-august 2006.

Jeff
Originally I got into fishing to fish.

For about 20 years a group of us have been doing a hike to the top of Cone Peak on the day after Christmas. For those of you who don't know, Cone Peak is near Point Lopez up in Big Sur and has wonderful ocean views.

This was an amazing day, magical. It was snowing on the coast from about the 2,000' level, cloudy and cold all the way up. When we go to the top the clouds parted, the sun came out... Looking down at the ocean through snow covered trees was just too beautiful for words. You can see the Sur coastline down through the trees in the first shot
