Any suggestions on a smaller sized, fairly stable yak for the wife would be appreciated.  She wont be using it in the ocean, lakes only.  Want to buy one this week, if you have a suggestion on a good yak for her and perhaps a vendor that stocks them that would be great.
Thanks, Walter

Hi Walter,

My two suggestions:

Ocean Kayak Venus or Cobra Tourer.

The OK Venus is made for women and is short - but shorter kayaks don't track as well the longer ones. Jason / jselli is an Ocean Kayak dealer - call him at (650) 888.8455
http://www.oceankayak.com/kayaks/single_kayaks/venus_11.html

The Cobra Tourer is 15 ft long but VERY light compared to the others in the same class and it tracks well. Sean/Scwafish from Ukiah sell's em - http://www.gwkc.com/

Anyway, test paddle as much kayaks as you can  :smt002

Good Luck!

Thanks for the info.  Ended up coming home with a new sunrise colored OK Caper for her last night.  It holds more weight than the Venus, is wider, that way I can use it too! Waaay lighter/smaller than my Xfactor so
wont mind hoisting it on the roof for a quick trip out to SCR now/then.
Thanks again for info,
Walter
