The State of California has a plan to charge at most of the Sonoma County beaches. I personally am very against it. Those beaches are were we locals go to think when we have a life decision, greave the loss of a love one, or just commune with ocean. 15 years ago they tried the same thing and we were able to stop it. We protested at Goat Rock. They also tried to close the beaches after 10 at night, we went out and spent the night on the beaches. They are at it again, intending to put up iron rangers at pretty much all the beaches. Some that effect us for fishing are Stumps, and Goat Rock, I also launch by Carment. If you are against these fees and not having some beaches continue to be free please make your voice heard.

and the situation at Martin's beach got some good news as trespassing charges were dropped against the surfers last week.

Beaches belong to all.

Stump has been closed for over a year. Locked gate for what? They cant maintain one bathroom? I would pay the 8 bucks to get into Stump via the parking lot.  Schoolhouse and the others down there? forget it.
