After some issues with our AT&T U-verse and receiving several new pieces of equipment I was directed to replace the equipment along with their Residental Battery Backup Unit with the new one they sent. The old one was not to be sent back with the other old equipment and I was suppose to dispose of it properly....Well I think I took care of that.

After looking at it a little closer and taking the back cover off I noticed that it consisted of the same 12v 7ah back up battery as I use in the fish finder. I also noticed the power supply cord for the gateway controller would work with the VHF charger. So there you have it an all-in-one docking charging unit for the Yak needs.
If anyone wants to know the unit is Belkin Residential Battery backup Unit model number BU3DC001. The product specs can be located online at Belkin’s website.

Yeah, I grabbed the battery out of mine; thinking that at some point it would be of use. I tossed the rest, not thinking...

The battery is about to be repurposed to power a Mini-Mag downrigger. But that's another story...
