Lake of the Pines. Doing home improvement. Then WW rafting, WW kayaking and LM bass fishing on the 2nd-4th.

Rockfish won't need to fear me until the week of the 9th.

Randy and I will of course be spending the weekend primarily in Carmel Bay.  If anyone else is coming this way, say hi..................... :smt006

After two weeks of non-stop landscaping/repairing/remodeling we are not ready to hit the water but will manage with enthusiasm if not with flair!

I am thinking about Bodega for a RC/Salmon combo...  hunting rock cod and lings early, and if the salmon are a do-able paddle away, then that also....

hopefully will have my SPTW rigged for major fish haul by then, and will need it to be!

Randy and Pat and anyone else: I'm thinking I need to reintroduce my ragged truck and smelly fish to the folks who pay $425 for a round of golf, and to put the "public" in "Public Access",  but I need to give the tourists on the bay side some fish to take photos of too.  I want to get my son out there in waters where he can't get the lures to the bottom without getting hit.   You guys know the area and can read the weather better, so let me know where and when-  if you wouldn't mind someone tagging along.  I've got about 5 fish taco recipes I want to try!

I'm camping at New Brighton.  Will hit the Capitola Reef for cod and flatties.  I'll be in a Green Outback and my buddy Brian'll be in my Blue Outback.

Sunday, we'll be out of Stillwater carmel.  Monday, maybe the lighthouse.

For those going to Bodega for Rockfish/salmon combo... where are you going to get your rockfish?  If you're fishing between Bodega Head and Mussel Point you should be aware that there is a no take Marine Reserve in the area and you find out the boundaries before you go.  In general only Bodega Rock and the actual Bodega Head are legal to fish in close.   About 200 m south of Horseshoe cove to just past Mussel Point are off limits to about 1000 m (or it might be feet) from shore.

I'll propbably head to Ft Ross on Saturday and leave my bodega fishing until the weekdays before or after work.
