Had a blast! Can't wait until next year. Highlights for me where the hairballs return landing, lots of yardsales, but everyone safe, and being attacked by a seal. He snorted at me for a minute went under me and full-on struck the bottom of the yak for a good oh $hit moment. Then was gone. Conditions were good, fishing was good, I got a nice 29 inch ling and a lot of decent blacks, I'll post some OTW pics later. Thanks again Ryan, great event!

Major fun for me!!!!!  Trout (thanks for calling 3 months ago to plan this), his towering son Niko and Falcon came up from the south.  With A Hulls and NCKA buddies in attendance, it was like fishing at home.  I can't describe the satisfaction I get from showing up in a crowd and having so many people tell me they started with The Coastal Kayak Fishing School or The Kayak Fishing Video (DVD) 10 or (nearly) 20 years ago.  It was well worth the years of poverty :smt005.  Now I get to see them as hard core kayak anglers plus meet their families as part of the ultimate sportfishing community.  We are the luckiest recreationists.

Kiel, FishMaster Andy and the rest of the A HULLS camp, thanks for your hospitality and friendship.  It was great hooking up with many of you for the first time and I can't wait to fish with you next.

The SLO launch was a pond but the landing required timing and was easy for everyone with surf skills and knew to read the sets.  If you ever see me packing my gear for a landing, it's time to worry.

Ryan put on a FABULOUS tournament, easy to fish and attend, that nearly quadrupled in size from last year.  Good prizes, informative sponsors and as fun a group of anglers as we get on the California coast.
Thanks to everyone for showing us such a great time.

Likewise All.  I'm afraid to list names knowing I'll miss a few.  I can't overstate how cool it is to meet kayak fishermen and I wish I had a lot more time for this kind of fun.

I forgot to throw out a hearty thanks to Glen(n) from Fisherman's Warehouse who put me on the spot, OTW, for my 31.5" ling.
