Arnold Info....

Anyone local? We are heading up there next weekend for the kids to play in the snow....any local suggestions?

there are a couple of pay snow parks, and if you go to spicier reservoir rd i think you can park for free, and mess around, jeffrm20 would know the best but he is rarely on the board. have fun up there 

I'd also recommend calling the Stanislaus National Forest for an area suggestion and road closure info. If you go down a closed a road you might get cited. We are posting signs on the Eldo to inform people whats open and whats not in some popular snow areas.

I plan on going up next weekend but haven't been this year yet. Last time I went up sliding it was very easy to find a Local spot( basically find a spot where everyone is pulling off the side of the road just make sure not to pick the first one!  ) to do some sliding on the way up to Arnold. Didn't have to go all the way up there since there was a lot of snow then not sure what the status is now but let me know what you find out.

If it was real cold and it just snowed Fairway Dr in Arnold used to be a fine place to play. That used to be my backyard when my children were growing up. Fun 150 yard hill to go down when it is frozen
