I will be there.  Working, camping at Iron horse, and hopefully participating in the tourney.

by the way.... New Melones has been fishing very well.  Limits are the rule for kokes (12-13 inch range) with browns and rainbows as incidental catches.  The spotted bass and redeye bass are on the bite too.  Catfish should be in full swing by tourney time.

So I take it from the previous post, this is where we are gonna be "massing" at?

If we take over this area, we can just have the awards/potluck right smack in the middle...

Great idea, Glen - I can even bring a pop-up to help with shade.

Adam - how bad are the rattle snakes up there?

It seems like iron horse campground is gonna be it. I might be wrong but I think it maybe the only one open on the glory hole side. They said the other would be closed all year do to the sequestration crap. There is a k.o.a campground  on the other side of the store but that's a few miles away from the lake. You won't be able to launch from camp you will have to drive to the ramp the lake is low and dropping fast. Don't forget to check gloryholesports.com for the weekly lake conditions and fishing report.

How many tents can Iron horse hold? Also is there a fee to pay for camping?

nothing seems to be set in stone yet. It seems Jim has been busy with his personal life and his new son. The pot luck and awards has yet to be determined. Everyone is busy with the gs event. I'm sure within the next week the threads for this event will get up to pace. As far as the fees go its 15. For your fresh Kats membership (liability ins. Good for 1 calendar year for any freshkats event so once you pay your good for all. Now I may be wrong but I believe I read somewhere the entry fee is another $10. For the event.

I think you are right, Mike - it's $15 to join FreshKATS for the year, then each tournament is $10 to enter.

Also, keep in mind that each attendee may also have to pay for fees for parking, camping, entrance to the water, etc - all depending on the location.

wlshafor....here's a link to the camp reservations - so far there are folks in/around 29, 31, 23....I'd make your reservation now, before everyone gets back from GS7, haha.

My 7YO granddaughter and I look forward to camping with you folks (site 33, I think). She has been begging me to learn to fish so maybe I can twist someone's arm to help her (I don't have a license anymore).  ;)
