Fishing in Corpus Christi

I'm going to be spending a few days in Austin and am thinking of taking a trip down to Corpus Christi to fulfill my dream of visiting the Selena Museum.   

I figure that while I'm there taking care of important business like that I might as well take some time to do something silly..maybe some fishing.

Does anyone have any first hand experience with the cattle boats down that way?  Are there any you prefer? There's a few web sites to get info from but I'd like some first hand experience if possible.

My backup plan is to head on down to NOLA to see the stuff that Big Jim is made of.

Yeah I'm sure I'll have fun.  It would be cool to have a drink or two with Margie and Rich. Liz talks about Margie enough that I feel like I know her.

I figure if nothing else I'll go to NOLA and teach your people how to rap the right way.

I'll be down there from the 13th thru the 20th but will only be able to hang out 16th thru 18th.

I will check with some friends.  I have done one once a lil north out of Port Aransas.  They can be pretty big and they usually head out near oil rigs and catch red snapper.  It can be hit and miss sometimes, but red snapper is tha bomb.
