IMO, another important thing to remember is not to discard your left over bait along the shore line when done crabbing / fishing. I would dump it in deeper water. Why? Well, rotten squid, chickens bones that are dumped on the shoreline can be dangerous for dogs. Even the cooked boken-up crabshells that you dump on the ground is not a good thing. Please be responsible for you trash...just my 2 cents.

*and if you have gout - don't eat crabs.

Are those squid only good for bait?  I want to get some for adobo and also stuff them with crab and grill them at the camp.

Only good for bait, don't think you wanna eat any of it.....

.. but I don't have 19 pounds of squid left over at the end of the day.   

some people own a thing called a freezer; they're used to keep it frozen until the next time you are ready to use it. 

and, if youre planning on go crabbing more than 4  times in a season, you got bait on hand...

most places we launch from, people walk there pets (including alot of NCKAers); you do not want to inadventantly cause harm to their/our pets or any land-based wildlife.  Plus you will be providing a free meal for the next generation of crabs to harvest....

...another tip, if you want free bait in HMB, check out the fish trash bin at the boat launch - right next to the rest rooms 

Keep bait fresh.  It works better.
