While cleaning out the freezer the other day GF found an old package of Lamb fat I had been saving to make with sausages with.  Well that didn't happen, so I I am wondering if anyone has ever used it for crab bait?  My thoughts it has its own unique smell, and I am willing to give it a try, just not sure how well it would work.  Any thoughts?

I've used some freezer burned ground pork before and it worked out decently. Not great but not horrible.
