CrabJam2013!
I'm compiling a songbook that I'll post hopefully 2nite with a few songs that I've been playing.
Keep in mind that I am (according to some :smt002) in the old fogy age range so be prepared for some eclectic tunes from the 60's, 70's, 80's.
I welcome anyone else's songs though, just bring some charts or chords to share, I love to learn new stuff.

I'll jam anytime were not all fishing or crabbing, seems I was shore side during the day quite a bit as I waited(unsuccessfully) for crab to walk into my trap during the opener. So there will be good opportunities for impromptu uke-ing.

glen: put some beats on your ipod bro!

rey: yeah bring it!

tim: sweet tell her to bring it!

scott: that's fly, bring it!

joel: pink, it's the new pink!

cherie: by all means throw hubbie's uke in da car - with the drum. We'll work with the eastern sound, think - sitar :smt003

jerry: get your harp on at crabjam!

fishgr: i'm ready to throw down some hoedown!

victor: buy it!

if you are in doubt: BRING IT! :smt001

OK, here's a few songs that we could do.
There's plenty of corny and cheesy soft rock here so be advised. :smt001
As I mentioned, feel free to post or bring other tunes.
I'm hoping Sat. night might be a good time for a group jam, providing it's not too cold!

Holy cow, Batman!  Less than 2 weeks to learn all those?!?   Ha!!

Was, "Wasting away in Margaritaville"  in there?  I like Jimmy Buffet on the beach.  With a uke it ought to work....

Last time I heard that song being sung my cousin and I went to a bar near Lake Oroville and it turned out to be a gay bar and the guy was singing it to us.  I almost fell out of my chair laughing.  I kept wondering why all the pictures n the bar were of Marilyn Monroe.  Needless to say we finished our drink and bid them all a fond farewell.  A night I will never forget.  That's what happens when you go to a bar at night in an area you have never been.
So long and thanks for all the fish!!!

My hubby and I were trying to practice on our Ukes tonight...OH MY GOSH some of these songs are tough!
I think we should also include some easy ones that only have 2 and three cords (Lion Sleeps Tonight and Ob-La-Di Ob-La-Da). Was Margaritaville already in there?

Here's a file from the Sac Meetup Uke group that might help us all  :smt003

Hey Crabfest Uke'rs,
I hoped that by including some easy and more complex tunes that folks could just play to there comfort level. :smt001

Please feel free to just sing along on the songs that are too hard to play. :smt003

Cherie, thx for the file, the Sac uke group was a great inspiration for me when I started playing last winter.
I didn't know just how popular the little instrument was, especially online.
I still haven't gone to a meetup but soon, maybe.

Scott, stay out of those bars bro  :smt005
