Congrats to all my fellow AOTY participants who placed, won Big Fish honors, or just fished hard & had fun. You guys are all winners in my mind.

Big big thanks to all of my fishing buddies & special AOTY mentors who helped me so much over the last few years. Couldn't have done it without you guys.

Everybody likes stats so here goes……I went kayakfishing 78 days this year. 39 days were on saltwater & 39 days were on freshwater. Entered only 15 of the 20 species, although I did catch 18 AOTY species. Nine of my top ten entries are personal best fish for those species so it was my best year of fishing since I started six years ago.

Well done Jim!  I tried my damnedest to beat you....

I enjoyed the few times we fished together this year, and I hope to fish together more in the future. It was great to have an angler. Of your skills on our Kayak Wars team too. Needless to say, we would have not done nearly as well without you.
