Thanks for asking, Al!   :smt001  Claire and I did some errands and shopping this afternoon, and we'll get our groceries at Safeway in Fortuna tomorrow at 1145.  We pick up Collin from 4th grade STAR testing at 1215 and it's off to the Cove.  We should roll in by a little after 2PM.  Check in at The Tides isn't until 3PM, so that's our ultimate target as I'll need to offload a gigantic load of stuff into my room, the garage and the exterior areas so I can devote the back of the truck to schwag and hoodies to go hand out madly until dinner.   :smt004  Possible deli dinner and more gear handouts and maybe I can get my gear prepared for a dawn launch while the kids sleep in and then get breakfast.  Plan is to catch a salmon and get back with the kids by 9AM, get them fed and moving and check out the beach and boogieboard scene while being ready to hand out gear where needed.  If I can get 100 to 120 of the bags handed out by the safety meeting I'll be stylin'!   :smt005  I appreciate offers of help, but handing out the schwag is a personal goal and desired activity - I like that greeting and moment I get with everyone and look forward to it.  The hoodies are separate from all other schwag and gear this year, so be sure to get your hood along with your bag - we'll have both ready, but may space it if you don't remind.  All hoodies have the owner's name on the tag.

Lisa arrives and we get family dinner and then late Friday evening is usually a last run through the campground handing out schwag to the latecomers, and hopefully by the end of the evening I only have a couple or few dozen to handout still...  Come tourney time it's all fishing focus until 11AM or so, then we'll get the multi-manned, multi-table scoring area rocking!

Looking forward to getting this ball rolling and am focused on getting some sleep this evening!   :smt001

Antonio,
That hill is a killer, even with wheeleez.  I don't plan to pull my yak up it ever again.  I'm hoping we can put together some kind of shuttle to the top on either trailers or roof-tops.  I'll have a "Senior Citizen" ID available upon request for a shuttle to the top.

Bring the Wheeleez and do tailgate-towing, Martin.

Yes, I burned up mine and Domenic's doing that, but that was like 5 miles...   :smt005

Sitting on the tailgate and towing up the hill with Wheeleez is a breeze - that's the shuttle system to achieve, IMO.

Report from the Cove - just got a call.  At least one yak salmon caught today.  Wind gusting to 30-40 knots in the campground as of about 5 PM, with white caps to the beach.

I'm driving up in the morning - let's hope those forecasts are accurate and the wind lays down for us!  See you all up there!
