I've got GS7 on my schedule, and BallardBrad (also NWKA) will be heading down with me.

Looking forward to some southern exposure!

Just curious,
How many new anglers can one sponsor?
I have pledged to sponsor Delbeck, and have another friend +1 that was intrested in joining. Can I also sponsor the friend +1 or is it one angler per sponsor?
Friend +1 has been on the salt many times, but all in So-Cal. (new to Nor-Cal)
Hobie Outback (dune)

If you're only allowed one Eric, by all means, sponsor your buddy.  I can find somebody else to sponsor me whereas you're probably the only one who'd sponsor your friend.

You can sponsor as many people as you'd like.  The only burden of sponsoring someone is if they're involved in an undesirable situation then you will be called upon to answer for their behavior or at least to mediate a dispute.  So it should become a non-issue when all your cool friends have a great time.   :smt001

It's like this:  if someone were to, let's say, get really drunk, act out in someone else's camp, pick a fight with someone...etc., then we'd call upon the sponsor to help diffuse the situation.  My intention is that even if we do end up with a potential hot-head/drunk/inappropriate character, he/she will be less likely to act out due to the realization that he/she will be direclty endangering the reputation of his/her sponsor with inappropriate behavior.

Don't sponsor someone unless you're confident that they understand that relationship and that the group, the club, supports such cooperation for the sake of all.

I'll be basing valid sponsorship on PM's I receive from those who are sponsoring others.  Like if you are sponsored by Yakhopper then I should get a PM from Yakhopper saying he's sponsoring you.

In your case, Michael, you can list me as your sponsor when you send in your form.   :smt001

Thanks for the comments - I enjoyed making that movie as it brought back fresh memories of GS6.  After last year's tournament I didn't feel like I got any spectacular footage, so I shelved the project to make a movie of it.  I'm glad I blew the dust off and put this together, but Windows Movie Maker is a total POS!!  I need a new editing program...

I'll be there. Not sure about Polygamist Al. After GS6, I want a big butt. Big Bertha Butt, one of the Butt sisters.........

Oh yeah, I can sponsor one of the brothers. Just let me know. See you all there.
So I'm packing my bags for the Misty Mountains, where the spirits go...........
