Make sure you post a pic with it fully completed and dressed out. This looks sick. I would first have to practice my welding skills before attempting. So far my "Bird Shit" welds don't hold much for very long.

Will do. One of the advantages to my design is it should hold up even with bugger welds.  :smt001

Nice work Ryan!  :smt007

May I suggest that you round the edges to the plates that your casters are anchored to.  If you're anything like me, and I hope you're not, you'll catch your ankle or shin on one of those sharp corners.  :smt010

Yea I know. I figured I would de-burr and round just before paint.

Looks great Ryan! Good work!

Thanks Matt

Nice organization.
However, I  don't see how moving kayaks from two 4x4's to round tubing will help your denting issue.  The 4x4's should offer more surface area thereby decreasing the pressure on the yak.  So, if they were already denting, then the "point" load from the round tube will likely do the same.

If I were just simply moving them then there would be no point.

My solution is to do something like in the photo, right now its just a proof of concept so I still have to refine it. But it is fully adjustable to any hull shape.

Looking good Ryan, what about using the 1x pine like you have with a canvas sling between the front and back bars?  If adjusted right that should support the yak across about 4 feet...

It looks great Ryan! Some larger diameter wheels will make it roll sweeter.

Hmm... that's a good idea. I have been considering something like my Yakima J hooks, so the kayak rests on some type of rubber/plastic.

I originally planned on using the 6" wheels off my old rack. The problem was I had to replace a broken wheel and could not find a replacement locally. So to stay with-in my budget I decided to get smaller wheels... for now.

Tractor supply has lots of wheels. So does Harbor freight, I think.

Looks good, I think I also posted in the other kayak storage thread but remember to rotate once in a while. I store my OK T13 on its right side and 4 summers later it noticeably pulls to the right when paddling
