*Please feel free to share your plan / ideas.....

I'll start:

my family and I already have agreed on a meeting place if the big one hits. Communication might be an issue so setting up a designated safe "meet"area would be the first priority. In our case, we have a big open park next to our apt complex - away from all structures (other houses, power lines and gas lines). My truck is loaded with some essentials to get by (my truck is parked in an open area and away from structures) I will post a list and some links later on....

After the loma preta quake, we moved to weimar. We are on a solid rock sheet. Geologicly stable! We're all set on that front and most others :smt044 we still keep supplies in the cars. 5 gallon buckets work great to store bug out gear. If car can't make it, you have a handle to carry it as you walk out. Most also seal water tight..
my new name should be Ostridge. Got my head in the sand. Going fishing and letting go of the other stuff I can't control anyway!

Does an rv parked next to my house full of gas, propane, and water count?  We keep it ready to all the time.

Great thread Mooch!
Water beans and bullets. Think at least 2 weeks w/o any pg&e or water. Stock up on can goods and use the older ones as time goes on. Have around 50 gal of water, dump and refill every two to three weeks. Blankets, batteries, propane.......shit I could go on for ever. Just think about it!!!
