I'm suspect the "Pho Garden Challenge" is an ingenious ploy to get rid of their inedible scraps...  I'm gonna go lay down now and wait for The End.

Pho Challenge:

Chopsticks should be mandatory, its amazing that with the diversity within the group, the only guy that used a fork was Martin aka Yakuza, aka Numba Wan Eckta Laage aka DD Mao, aka the Situasian.

EWB got the party started and alerted us he started a live thread.....here he is leaving updates and looking rather suspect.

Angle.....people keep asking me why I spell his name like that, check his drivers license, thats his legal name.

With a name like nudling everybody was expecting him to be the noodle king.  It was looking good for him early on but we made the mistake of icing down the broth to combat the heat and all the fat in the broth solidified increasing the level of disgusting as each minute passed.

The night was not without its controversy.  After sitting next to his pho the host demanded that Martin sit in a booster chair, they thought he was gonna accidentally fall into his bowl of pho and drown.  We told them he'd wear a pfd and that GB2 was a Dr capable of performing cpr if necessary.....they let him slide.

The smart money was on eric b.  He came the closest to actually finishing and got to within a regular bowl of pho of finishing.

But it was not to be....this seemed to sum it up for everyone.

I knocked out a little more than 2 pounds I think....not even close but enough to make me feel like crap while I wobbled out of the place.

Angle did about the same amount of damage.

The Pho Challenge.....

Of all the challengers, I ate the least.  and I still woke up feeling gross as all hell.  Hope my fellow challengers didn't suffer a "reversal of fortune" as they say in the competitive eating world . . .

And I'm with Eric B - the wall of fame is total b'chit hoax - ain't no way some of those people won, and lived to tell the tale

Pacifico -

Thanks for the hookup. Cheering you guys on was more fun than fishing. If the world ends today, what a great meal. Nobody won but only Yakuza had more stuff in his bowl at the end than when he started.  :smt044 :smt044 :smt044

That was a lot of fun watching our ncka brothers try and slurp up all that food. I ordered the large bowl and that was a little to much for me. If anyone els like to try this challenge, I wish you lots of luck! Those Bowls are more like bathtubs. Congratulations Guys on the attempt to be the Pho Masters.
