Should ATD remove his zombie AOTY salmon? Your thoughts count

That's a fine specimen of a fish you got there Adam. Looks fine to me. This makes me wonder why Mantanaska likes fresh ocean fish.

I'm an AOTY contestant and here are my thoughts.

It's an incidental catch.  Would I submit a Crappie I accidentally catch while bass fishing?  I totally would.  You happened to catch a Salmon while Crappie fishing...thats super unusual.  Unusual doesn't mean its wrong.  Given the circumstances of the fish (zombie status) thats gonna be up to you and your personal feelings on the rules of the NCKA AOTY competition.  I think you have to weigh your feelings on the topic of what the "Sportsman" like thing to do would be.  In the past I've seen you do some very Stand-up things.  I'll stand behind you with whatever you decide to do because I know you're a fair competitor.  I'm sure that that zombie didn't have any fight in him, and not too many people would eat him.  I agree with Craig on the fact that the fish is a POS...

I don't think its fair to Adam that this fish is even questioned and is the subject of this thread. The rules are written a certain way and he is following it to the point. Fishing involves a lot of luck and that luck brought him this very fish; ugly or not, its a Chinook to the bone.

Im not competing but I think it's entirely up to you whether you post it or not an I don't care one way or the other......so long as you promise to cut its head off and blow the damn thing up!

I think the fact that you asked the question is a good indication of how you feel about it. From looking at your AOTY entries it looks like this Zombie fish is only gonna add 6.3 points to your total. So is it worth it? it's not even gonna change your standing.

But I do think that since it's completely legit it's totally your call.

I've seen dead Salmon floating down river that looked better than that. I agree that if it's legal then go for it. You fish damn hard for your points. I say take what you get and let Craig throw a fit

I think this thread proves some contempt for the game & to the rest of us that revere & enjoy the game it's a mockery.

No idea what you're talking about l.that fish is no worse than a carp entry would be but you seemed ok with that. And sometimes things need to be mocked.

Well salty i think its a mockery you post fish that wont even gain you points just because u wanna show off. He legally caught an ugly fish an posted it to gain points rather see that then 4 fish from the same day that were of lesser value then the fish u caught an posted alrdy why post 3bass from the same date or 4 catfish one bein smaller then previous or 2 wsb smaller then the previous one

 

Not to mention that nobody on this thread has posted the number 1 reason why that fish is not allowed. Shameful really.
