Floated the Merced from the town of Merced Falls down to the dam upstream of the hatchery. Was able to land 20 fish. Had three other friends along, with over 60 fish landed. I will admit they were small (8-14 incehs), but their numbers made up for it.

The Coosa is great for floating and for smaller bodies of water, like the lost slough in Cosumnes preserve. It is extremely manuverable and the open deck space makes it great for fly fishing. I also have a Cuda that I use for lakes and other open water trips.

If you want to check out some more pics and a little more detailed report of the trip check this out:http://www.headwatersfishing.blogspot.com/2012/12/trip-report-merced-river-on-fly.html
