I am going to stick close to home in what looks like will be a nice calm bay. Launch around 7 AM from the wind surfer launch. Tides look like this:

Code: [Select]
Day        High      Tide  Height   Sunrise    Moon  Time      % Moon
           /Low      Time    Feet    Sunset                    Visible

Sa  17     High   4:46 AM     6.3   5:48 AM    Rise 12:45 AM      68
    17      Low  11:41 AM    -0.4   8:33 PM     Set 12:15 PM
    17     High   6:43 PM     6.5

I will probably just make bait at the poop pipe.

So the bay is forecast to be calm while the ocean is a raging mess?

Well it looked better yesterday when I looked at the forecast. Now it looks like it will start out calm 3-6 mph then around noon kick up to 11-13 according to the fine folks at iwindsurf.com.

I will check the SFO wind before I leave the house. If it is above 10 I am staying home.

 - you'll see an orange wind sock to your right - park there - and wheel your yak down the stairway.

Fathers day is Sunday coach.

I am going to make bait since I generally do fairly well there. Pray to the no wind gods!

oh yeah, well when you don't work you lose track of dates. I guess I won't be out there.  Family time.

I am thinking about making a trip out to the rock wall in the morning. Hey Bill, where do you make bait? I remember someone posted about making bait near the airport, on the island I think. I have a net, I thought I might go try as soon as it cools down a bit.

Bigdog, I am fairly sure Bill is going to OP on Sunday. If you go there he will show you the ropes on catching bait.  If you are heading to ARW, KayakJames or Insaneduane among many other can show you where.  Good luck.
