Had an awesome time, thanks Jim, headwaters and anyone else who helped make it happen. Didn't expect to place with a bunch of catfish but I guess anything can happen. All caught on worms trying to find panfish.

Jim picked a beautiful day for this tourney! I arrived around 9:30 am to a full parking lot. First time I've ever seen it that full. Good to see so many kayaks on the water. I didn't bring my boat, but I did take a nice long walk from the parking lot to the turning basin.

Congrats to the winner and everyone else that caught a fish.

Al

Jim, way to go! :groupwave

Thanks for such an awesome event. The weather was perfect. I fished most of the morning from the locks to the bridge. had a few take downs but nothing stuck. Bill and I drifted down to the bridge when I saw a brifght orange boat floating down the river. I decided that I would bring it in so that I could be in the running for the most trash picked up. I used my paddle leash as a tow line and was able to get it to the ramp. After dumping the boat with Jim, I paddled back to the spot where I had marked some fish before near the ramp. About 5 minutes later it was fish on, and about 10 minutes later it was fish on the yak. I tried the same spot for about another 15 minutes for nothing. Went in to check in with Jim and for about 5 minutes was in first place  :smt044 and then all the winning fish came in. Congrats Ron on the win! I was able to win the trash prize with the boat I found.

Here are some photos of the day:
1) Yester working his magic
2) This bird kept me company most of the morning
3) Bills fish
4) My fish
5) Such an awesome day!
6) Glen on his way to work, I though the post office is closed on Sundays

Why is there an oar lock at the rear? For shooting rapids with a rudder?

Hey Al,
Thanks for the photos.
Wish I could have made it. Sounds like everyone had a great time. The wx was perfect.
That photo of the cross was the son of one of my coworkers.

Congrats to all the winners. It was a beautiful day at the port has one could see through Al's pictures.I wasn't paddling that day due to injury, but it was nice to kick back and talk with Jim and others that where there. One person that Jim and I talked with was from Patterson High School. He informed us that the school has a program for the kids to get out and go fishing, and it's paid for by the school district. They had about 6-8 kids out fishing the port that day. I thought that was great.  Now to get them out in kayaks fishing. :smt003
