I'm sure Glen has a paypal account.  Will wait for him to confirm the account...

Since I won't be able to make it and cancelled last minute, I've got a $100 on Glen.  Please send me the paypal info.

- Jason

Okay now it's Glen's turn.  Come on Bro!!  I'll cover half of your cost. That's for cleaning up for all the mess I make every time I stay in your RV.    :smt003  Anyone else want to make it a no brainer for Glen the (G-Whiz)  ? A few 20's here and there.

Rey

Thanks Jason!  Don't know how we would do paypal.

Guess this is now a no brainer.....

I'm In!

Rey, what do I need to do now?

Jason, call me 510-557-1234

Awesome  Glenn!  I know you are going to make it Bro!

I just got off the phone with OEX and they said they'll move my deposit over to Glen so they'll charge you $50 less.

To the guys that cancelled and going to lose their $50 deposit, call OEX and see if you can transfer your deposit over to the person that's taking your spot.

- Jason

Glen, I just booked you.  You are set to go.  You just need to get all your gear ready and make mama happy.   :smt001  It's going to be awesome!

OK looks like there a few new to YT fishing. Because more YT are caught on the yo yo iron vs the surface iron I would concentrate on yo yo jigging. Note that this is a different technique than rock fishing.  Here is a good article. http://www.sportfishsandiego.com/fishing-iron.html You will want a high speed reel. As far as jigs, I would stop in at the tackle shop at the marina and ask what they recommend. Size and color varies by the season. Buy 2-4 because you are going to lose a few. One last tip, as soon as the jig hits the bottom, hammer the drag down and crank it up as fast as you can. The YT will chase the lure and the further off the bottom the lure is when hit the less likely they will be able to take you to the bottom and rock you.

I'll bring my gear in case conditions are right for an old man like me.  You think a pole spear can handle a WSB or do I need a spear gun for that?

How much gear can we bring aboard?

As little as possible.

Don't be the guy holding everybody else up from launching while digging through tons of gear trying to decide what to take!

How deep would we be fishing for cod, or in general?  Is an Avet SX high enough speed for the yo-yo-ing?  Clothing options for on and off the water?  Drysuit too much there?

If it is a 2-speed reel, yes.
