Close encounter with killer whales (video)

Cool and scary at the same time.  I've had a pod of dolphins do this to me when I was out in Monterey Bay.  It sure gets your attention.

That was awesome! Saw many in AK, and we always did the same thing, raft up and let them pass. Orcas are pretty smart and can generally tell if there is something on the surface. Love the height of the dorsal as the second whale swims by. Too cool!

  Gonna need a bigger reel for them!   Pretty cool having an apex preadator that close and not eat you!

I would have loved it and shat myself simultaneously. 

When the dolphin came under my yak, at first all I saw was a large silver critter going under my yak.  In the fraction of a second it took me to recognize it as one of the dolphins I thought it looked just like the landlord.  It was a hell of a relief when I figured it out since it was only a couple of feet under my yak.
