yeah, sometimes it is windy at the coast and fine in the valley, and vice versa.

like last sunday, no wind on the coast still under the marine layer, windy in the
valley.

sometimes it's not windy in either place.  those real hot days.

I understand the coast weather patterns, I don't understand the bay or the local lakes yet!

forcast say the winds are coming back this weekend but as long as its not blowing 15-25mph I'm still going to give it a try, even if i have to park under one of the piers :smt003

Brad / Zilla - the Tahoe Yeti will be in Monterey this weekend - I'm hoping to take him out to Moss for a try at salmon - hoping they'll be closer in and that the weather conditions would be ideal.

Plan B would be to hit Big Sur.......
Mooch, where in Monterey do you launch? Poacher(Anthony) and I are planning to go meet up with you guys, only if thats cool with you!

We launch off Moss Landing - 20 minutes North of Monterey.

We still have to wait and see what the weather is going to be like - it may get better or worse - I'll post a decision by tomorrow.
