I have the pa 12,the deep bucket does not fit in the back hatch it's too shallow.also I didn't go with the Lowrance dsi I got the humminbird 597ci di hd.I went with humminbird cause you could switch from 3d to 2d.but you have to buy the adapter otherwise the transducer won't fit.the battery I use is a 8ah 12volt sealed lead acid batt, with a 3amp fuse in a waterproof fuse holder.I like these types of batt cause you don't have to charge it that much.good luck with your new toy and welcome to the maddness(wttm) :smt006

My biggest worry is that my wife(when I'm dead)will sell my fishing gear for what I said I paid for it

Took it out for a quick run this afternoon for the first time to check out the new elite 5 DSI below the golden gate. Works awesome! Just worried about the apparent steering fix that I'm going to need to do.

I learned from a hobie dealer that the first 2 or 3 rounds of the 2012 pro angler production run have problems with the internal steering assembly plastic plate warping causing your steering to seize up on the water after extended use. They have since fixed the problem and created a new system for the 4th run of kayaks and all new 2013's have the new steering as well. I learned that you can tell if you have the faulty one If you have 4 screws on the deck in a rectangular shape on each side of the seat. The fixed new PA's have only 2 screws in the side of the deck not on the deck itself. Hobie is warranting it and will send the parts free to replace it apparently. Mine works fine so far.
